Discounts and Gratuities

• - children under 7 years old
• - war veterans
• - revolutionists and descendants of the victims of the December 1989 Revolution
• - persecuted persons for ethnical causes
• - former political prisoners
• - Handicapped persons – they will show a standard document issued by the Office for social assistance and child protection which is named ‘Bus pass for public surface transportation’.
• - all categories of retired persons with permanent address in Bucharest – with the pension card and the ID.

Documents needed for reduced subscriptions:

PUPILS AND STUDENTS - DAY SCHOOL:
Pupils

• Pupil ID stamped for the respective year with the mention: “day school” or “school with attendance”, certified with hallmark and signature from the respective school.
• Birth certificate/ I.D./passport/ resident card.
• Marriage certificate/ court decisions or other official documents if necessary, for those who attend post-high school studies, when a change appears that cannot be proved by the above mentioned documents).

Students

•  Student ID for public transportation discount with the specification “day school” or “school with attendance”, certified with hallmark and signature from the respective school.
• I.D./passport/ resident card.
• Marriage certificate/ court decisions or other official documents if necessary, when a change appears than cannot be proved by the above mentioned documents).

PENSIONARS

• A 50% discount for urban transportation subscriptions can be obtained by pensioners who live outside Bucharest . Necessary documents to obtain the reduced subscription:
  
  Pension card (for the current or previous month)
• Marriage certificate/ court decisions or other official documents (if necessary, when a change appears than cannot be proved by the above mentioned documents).
• Pensioners with their address in Bucharest can obtain the 50% discount on the suburb lines with the above mentioned documents.

Voluntary Blood Donors:

• Based on the existing laws (nr. 282/05.05.2005 and HG nr.1364/ 04.10.2006) the donor can get a 50% reduced public transportation subscription for one month, based on the proving documents. If the subscriber already has a monthly full subscription, he/she will use it until it expires and then he/she can obtain the reduced one. Donors will present at the selling centers the following documents:
  
  The donor certificate
  I.D.
  Marriage certificate/ court decisions or other official documents if necessary, when a change appears than cannot be proved by the above mentioned documents).

ATTENTION! Reloading of travel cards can be done only at centers for loading and reloading cards.
